Overview
No vehicle, no rush. We meet at the souq and walk: the spice lanes, the fabric sellers, the falcon souq and its hospital, the horse stables at the back that most visitors never find. Then across to Msheireb, where the old centre was rebuilt from scratch, and into the Msheireb Museums — four restored heritage houses that tell the harder parts of the story, including the one about slavery, honestly. It is the best-value introduction to the city we run.
